Coming soon
Buyer protection and refunds
Pay with SnapSell is coming soon. When it launches, you’ll be able to pay for an item through SnapSell and we’ll hold your money until you confirm you got it. This page explains how it will work, what it costs, and how refunds work, including for what you can buy from SnapSell today.
1What Buyer protection is
When you buy with Pay with SnapSell, your payment doesn’t go straight to the seller. SnapSell Pte. Ltd. holds it through our payment provider, PayMongo, and passes it to the seller only after you confirm you received the item. If the order is cancelled, you get your money back.
It’s available on listings from verified sellers in the Philippines, paid in Philippine pesos.
2How it works
- You pay through SnapSell. Choose GCash, Maya, QR Ph or a card. You see the full amount, fees included, before you pay.
- We hold the money. The seller is told you've paid, but can't take the money yet.
- The seller ships or meets you. They mark the order as shipped, or ready for your meetup.
- You confirm you got it. Tap “I got it” in the app or on snapsll.com. If you don't, the money is released automatically a few days after the seller ships.
- The seller is paid. We send the item price to the seller's GCash, Maya or bank account.
3Fees
The buyer pays a platform security fee on top of the item price. It covers the cost of processing your payment and sending the money to the seller, so it depends on how you pay: it’s lowest for QR Ph and highest for cards.
You always see the item price, the fee and the total before you pay. The seller receives the full item price.
4Cancellations and refunds
- Before the seller ships: you or the seller can cancel, and you get a full refund.
- The seller doesn’t ship in time: the order is cancelled automatically and you get a full refund.
- Something’s wrong with the item: tell us before you confirm, and our team will review it. A dispute process in the app is coming after launch.
Refunds go back to the payment method you used. How long they take to show depends on your bank, e-wallet or card issuer.
5Paying a seller directly
You can still pay a seller directly, by GCash, bank transfer or cash. Those payments never pass through SnapSell, so they aren’t covered by Buyer protection, and SnapSell can’t refund them or be responsible for losses. If you pay directly, only send money once you’re sure of the seller and the item.
6Refunds for SnapSell purchases today
Paid plans and photo packs are bought in the app through the App Store or Google Play, and their refund rules apply. Ask for a refund from Apple or Google Play. Cancelling a plan stops the next renewal; you keep it until the end of the period you paid for.
